Here's your weekly schedule
Week 1
Monday:
Introduction: This is your first day at Freight Broker Academy. We will review introductions and paperwork and get everyone set up on their computers and phones. Your computer will be at our facility so you can use it while you are here, your other equipment will be shipped to your location. Class may be let out early.
Tuesday:
Average Day: On day two, we will review the average day as a broker. Staff will work individually with everyone to review their business documents, website, shipper package, carrier package, email accounts, etc., and take professional photos. Andre will give presentations, and the class will start performing tasks as a broker.
Wednesday:
Action: Everyone's business is set up correctly, and you are ready to broker under your own Broker Authority. You will start the process of building your business via prospecting and receiving guidance from Andre. He will work with everyone individually to ensure they are saying and doing the correct things. You start getting customers for your business.
Thursday:
Action: Everyone will continue their tasks from Wednesday and start talking to carriers and reviewing the load boards. You will be responding to customers' emails and providing quotes for loads. You will be building your shipper and carrier databases. You will start to feel more comfortable about building your business.
Friday:
Action: Everyone will continue their tasks from Thursday while responding to customers' emails and providing quotes for loads. You will be building your shipper and carrier databases. You will start working on the TMS and continue working on load boards. You will begin moving towards brokering your first load. Your communication and multitasking skills will be getting better.
Week 2 - Week 7
Action: Everyone will continue their tasks from Friday while responding to customers' emails and providing quotes for loads. You will be building your shipper and carrier databases. You will continue working on the TMS and load boards. You will experience the whole process of brokering a load. Your communication and multitasking skills will be getting better. You will feel more comfortable and know what to do. You will be creating rate confirmations and setting carriers up. Your business will be growing.
Week 8 (Thursday and Friday)
Action & Ceremony: Everyone will continue their task from all previous weeks. On Thursday and Friday, we will show you how to operate your brokerage and scale it. For the last few weeks, you have been working the brokerage. We will review all your documents and website again and answer any questions you may have. We will have a ceremony to celebrate your success and pass out certificates. You will schedule your first one-on-one post-training meeting with staff. You will have weekly meetings via Microsoft Teams for five weeks. We will review what you have been doing and provide more guidance. Your business should be growing and you should be moving five loads per day
Two Weeks
Post-Training: You will schedule your first one-on-one post-training meeting. This meeting will take place in two weeks after you leave. You will have weekly meetings via Microsoft Teams for five weeks. (After those five weeks, you may schedule meetings at any time). We will review what you have been doing and provide more guidance.
This all takes place in a lovely suburb of Atlanta, Georgia!
As a part of Andre's five-week transformation program, you will have the chance to visit Atlanta.
Midtown Atlanta is known for many things, including nightlife, arts scene, and cuisine. Downtown Atlanta is home to spectacular tourist attractions, including Georgia Aquarium, College Football Hall of Fame, World of Coca-Cola, and more!
