Today, we’d like to introduce you to Andre Erving.

Hi Andre; thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Throughout my extensive career as a transportation and logistics professional, I have devoted myself to honing my skills and imparting my expertise to others. Throughout the years, I have crafted diverse courses, presentations, speeches, and books that showcase my deep understanding of this intricate field. With nearly a decade’s experience as a truck driver, with formal education and hands-on training, I possess a distinctive perspective and profound comprehension of the intricacies and potential within the transportation industry.

During that period, I chose to pursue a career in transportation as a professional truck driver. This experience provided me with extensive knowledge of the trucking industry. I honed my driving skills and eventually became a trainer for newly licensed CDL drivers. For 30 to 45 days, I would mentor these individuals and teach them the ins and outs of operating a semi-truck on long-haul routes.

As my career progressed, I acquired my semi-truck and became an owner-operator. This led me to open my own trucking company while continuing my journey as a professional driver. During this time, I discovered the world of brokers and freight brokering. Eager to expand my knowledge in this area, I sought out training and became proficient in brokering, even developing an online course to share my expertise.

While carrying out broker duties and witnessing the success of my course, I decided to establish a transportation brokerage of my own. This allowed me greater flexibility to train aspiring brokers and transition some of my clients from their previous brokerages to mine. With both my brokerage and course sales flourishing, I decided to secure office space to provide in-person training on freight brokering.

Overall, my transportation journey has been filled with growth and opportunity. From starting as a truck driver to becoming an educator in the field of brokering freight, each step has paved the way for me to share valuable insights with others while building successful ventures of my own.

Continuously setting higher standards, I have taken the initiative to open another training location and have plans for further expansion throughout the USA, with a hopeful launch in Canada as well. Despite juggling a brokerage and a trucking company, I prioritized my education by dedicating three years to obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business from DeVry University. I am pursuing a master’s degree in business and expect to complete it by May 2024.

One of my most notable achievements has been developing an immensely successful Freight Broker Training program that has sold to over 100,000 students worldwide thus far. This accomplishment speaks volumes about my expertise, unwavering commitment to this industry, and genuine desire to empower others to overcome challenges. Furthermore, managing a thriving transportation brokerage further solidifies my knowledge and competence in this domain.

Recently, I ventured into eCommerce by launching an innovative online store that serves as a marketplace tailored explicitly for businesses operating within the transportation industry. This exciting new endeavor demonstrates my ongoing confidence in this field and my ability to adapt seamlessly to novel opportunities and obstacles. Overall, I am exceedingly proud of my accomplishments within the transportation and logistics industry; however, my true fulfillment lies in sharing invaluable knowledge and experiences with professionals for many years ahead.
